Once
there was a monk who lived in a village. One day a young village girl
became pregnant and was unmarried. She did not want to expose her
boyfriend. Out of fear when her parents asked her who is responsible,
she pointed her finger to that monk.

Her parents were
infuriated. The next day, the whole village turned up to blame the him.
"How could you?" "You dirty old man!" "You are a disgrace!" "Get out of
our village, you hypocrite!" Some villagers even threaten the his life.


After listening to all the accusations, what he said was "Is
that so?" and went back to meditate. Months went by; the young girl
gave birth to a baby. The parents of the young girl were forced to find
a father for the child.

The parents and the villagers went up
to approach him saying "You are responsible for this baby; therefore
you should bring up the baby!" Once again, he said "Is that so?" He
took the young baby in his arms and went back.

By this time
the he has lost his reputation but it did not trouble him. He took very
good care for this baby and he manages to obtain milk and everything
the child needed from his neighbors.

After a year, he young
girl felt ashamed and guilty and wanted to see her baby. She finally
told the real story to her parents. When all the villagers came to know
the truth, they all felt ashamed of having wrong him.

So all of
them gathered and went to the monk asking for forgiveness. Once again,
after listening to them said "Is that so?" He handed the baby back to
the young girl.

LOVE OF CHILD

The story goes that time ago a man punished his 5-year old daughter
for wasting a roll of expensive gole wrapping paper. Money was tight and he
became even more upset when the child used the gold paper to decorate a box to
put under the Christmas tree.



Nevertheless. The little girl brought the gift box to her father the next
morning said, this is for you , Daddy. The father was embarrassed by his
earlier over recation, byt his anger lared again when he found the box was
empty.

He spoke to her in a harsh manner, Don’t you know, young lady when you

fell on his knees and put arms around his little girl, and

He begged her to forgive him for his unnecessary anger.

An accident took the life of the child only a short time later and it is told
that the father kept that gold box by his bed for all the years of his life.
And whenever he was discouraged of faced difficult problems he would open the
box and take out an imaginary kiss and remember the love of the child who had
put it there.

In a very real sense, each of us as human beings have been given a golden baox
filled with unconditional love and kisses from our> children, family,
friends and God. There is not more precious possession anyone could hold. Or
pass this on to your friends,

Making friends is not always an
easy affair, especially But, we can make friends, if we follow certain norms
and tips, as shown below.

• Be optimistic. If some body
  insults you, just ignore him and, don’t be afraid to express your
  opinions, as he has no idea what he is talking about. A positive out look
  will make people want to be more around you.

• Smile as much as you can. It

  try to take what the person says and run with it. Add your own thoughts

• Don’t expect perfection out of
  anyone (especially yourself). For example, if you forget your own name
  while introducing yourself, don’t get panicky, but just make fun of the
  situation.

  thoughts can open up many doors that can lead to friendship.

• Crack a joke. Having a sense
  of humor is important, but don’t get yourself too carried away, as there
  are some things you have to be serious about.

• Start by doing little things,
  if you are very reserved. For example, every time you go to work, say

  (even the shy ones). Pay attention to people and they will repay you warmly.

• Don’t be selfish. Many think

• Surround yourself with people
  you want to be like and also people who share your interests. Be
  passionate about what you believe in. Never change your opinions and ideas
  often. People like to show keen interest with such type of honest and
  sincere people.
